Did a loop involving a bunch of small trails. In on the Horseshoe-Toothacher-Rainbow Valley-Quail-Saddle-Baseline-Gila. Both Toothacher and Rainbow are longer trails, but I was on them for less than a mile. Temps were supposedly 95 at the start of the hike, but I don’t think that was the temp on the outskirts of Phoenix. It actually felt pretty nice out. I was in the shadows for most of the hike and there was an intermittent breeze. No wildlife and I had the trails to myself. |
