Early morning hike at SoMo. Got to the TH a little before 6am. Did the Prospector Loop with a tail up to the knoll just past the National Trail juncture. Went up Lost Mine and down Lost Ranch Mine. Ascending LM seems a bit easier than LRM. The steep parts are more intense, but that translates into more gradual sections. Plus, the trail smoother which means your strides aren’t determined by the rockiness of the trail. Surprisingly colorful sunrise. Some nice Kodak moments. Very quiet today. Only encountered 3 hikers near the end of the hike. No wildlife.
