| no partners | | | John from Apache Wells alerted me that he was taking his group to triplearch. It had been some time since I had hiked there, so asked him if I could join his group. In the past, we always approached it from Black Glass Canyon, but John's route led in from the canyon south of Black Glass Canyon, not sure if this canyon has a name. I was surprised to see the route was all trail. In the past we had a good deal of bushwhacking. A good day for this hike. Ted Tenny's book: Hiking the Goldfields was our source for the names of the landmarks except for Laura's arch. We came up with that one when Laura spotted the arch on a hike there several years ago. Of course, we are the only ones that refer to that arch by that name. |
