| partners | | We left my house at about 430am and Denny and I started hiking a litlle before 7. We were passed by one woman who was jogging, but she wasn't wearing a pack and didn't summit. So officially we weren't passed by anyone. Last time, I was passed by someone who.. lets just say motivated me to go faster . We passed quite a few of the swim team members who were training and who had to go practice after the hike . We met thebrayer(Ken) at the saddle and spoke with him for a few minutes and then spent some time with him on the summit. We were on the windy summit for about 2o minutes or so. I changed my shirt and was toasty warm for the trip back. We saw Joe at the saddle. He's on to something with those Teva's. I did a 14 miler in my Keen sandals, but Inner Basin in snow will have to wait. It was fun seeing Joe,then Wally and Stefen, then Jim and Brian. Great hike until Denny pushed me down the rabbit hole. Our total time included 60 minutes for socializing, photo ops, etc. I made a snowball, but it fell out of my pocket.. not saying who Denny wanted me to throw it at . Traffic wasn't to bad for us going back. Looking forward to hiking with you guys soon. Thanks, Jim for scheduling this. |
