I took a day off and went with Tortoise Hiker to Flagstaff to finish a few trails we missed. We decided on a Weatherford, Humphreys, Kachina Loop. We opted to skip the summit since we both summited earlier this year. The morning was chilly and windy but the steady climb up Weatherford kept you warm. I was surprised to see some snow on the ground but not enough to hinder progress. We saw two deer on the way up and found the yellow bus off the side of the trail. The elevation was taking it's toll near the saddle as we round Agazzi peak but the decent down Humphreys Trail provided a boost. Things were going well at the start of the Kachina trail but the tank was empty before getting back to the car.
