Nearly missed the turn off to Peralta Road. There's a traffic light now! Caught me by surprise. Got an early start and was up to the top by 7:30. Nice views, pleasant temperature but a bit warm for that early in the morning. Signed the register in the ammo can nestled in the cairn at the summit. Saw some HAZ names in the book. The off trail hiking was slow for me as it was my first time on the mountain. Followed Joe's GPS route for the most part. Would like to return and explore some of the prospects and see Williams Camp. Enjoyable hike.
