| no partners | | This is currently taking hike of the year for myself. It was awesome to say the least. I started a tad late but it panned out well for some killer afternoon shadows on the return.
Encountered several large swarms of flies and a few swarms of fleas. None of which seemed to be on the attack, all seemed pretty content to stay in they're respective swarm. Weird... perhaps the last stagnant pools had recently dried up leaving them homeless? There was even a small "cloud" of them around my truck upon return. But none seemed to enter the cab, go figure.
Albeit somewhat strenuous this is a must do hike if you haven't had the pleasure!
About five hours up and just under three coming down. Wished I had another hour to enjoy the later part. This hike was inspired by "flag" dude, Vaporman and jpumpkin's triplogs.
This completes the most miles I've hiked in a month and the most AEG too. Guarantee I'll never be a long distant hiker as 91 miles nearly killed me spanned out over a month!
