| no partners | | Sunday afternooner up Jacobson mainly to look for canyon tree frogs (none found).
I usually avoid this area on weekends as it can be a popular water hangout this time of the year.
First got down to John's Dam and met a guy with 5 kids, then headed up Jacobson soon meeting 4 more people.
Arrived at "my" swimming hole and took the first dip of the year! A bit cold, but felt great ..... I just wish I would have took my Field Notes out of my back pocket like everything else before jumping in
On the way back out I met 6 more people heading in and thought this is now like Grand Central Station for Jacobson.
Even with all the people (everyone was cool) I had a good time and decided to end with a hike up to Cyclone Hill before returning home.
John's Dam - I have no idea what is going on, but there are 3 new picnic tables set up at the slick rock area and another "structure" being built across the creek. There is a tarp set up with a lot of tools, rope, etc ....
Just down the creek I also found a very crude homeless person looking campsite and trash everywhere.
Not sure who would built all this, but myself and everyone I talked to DO NOT LIKE THIS!!!
