A self diagnosis makes me think I may have plantar fasciitis. Whatever it is, it's rough to walk let alone jog. Anyway...started from the Fraesfield TH and took Monument Hill to the 136 Express and then to the Dixileta. The Monument and the 136 Express are really nice trails as is the first part of the Dixileta after the first mile though the Dixileta turns into a broad straight road that heads due west. That may be changing because it looks as if they are expanding the golf course to the south. I then took the 118th St north and then hit parts of the following trails: Watershed-Cholla Loop-Balancing Rock-Granite Mountain Loop-Black Hills Trail. Really enjoy these trails out here. Great little loop. Saw about 20 hikers and bikers, which is a decent number for a midday hike. Wildlife included quail, several chipmunks and a squirrel. |
