Three of us went up on Sunday, the hike up was great! The hike down was a little hot! Other than that it was a great work out! We are doing Humpherys on 09/29/08!

Awsome. We came to Sedona to get out of the heat and ended up with a little bit of heat. By 5:oo PM the wind started to blow and we got a few sprinkles.

We did this hike as an overnight adventure. The trail was pretty boring (we started at the Cabin), as I told my partner at least we can say that we were on the AZ Trail. The weather was excellent, a little cool at night, but all was well. We did see some elk which was cool. It was very sad to see the fire damage though (high up on FR300), it's overwhelming to see the destruction that fire can do, especially on a beutiful forest. Don't know if I will be doing this hike again. Oh, one last thing a truck or high vehicle is recommended.

Nice day hike. The water was just right! The hike was pretty easy, I took a first time hiker and I was very surprised at how well he did. There were quite a few day hikers and several over nighters.

The hike down was very nice and easy, we even did some jogging where the terrain was a bit sturdy. I can assure you we did no jogging on the way up. I would definitely suggest brining plenty of drinking water during the HOT months. We did ok with two 100oz. Camelbacks and four Nalgene bottles (there were three adults and one child), the temp was not too hot.

Anyway enjoy the hike! See you out and about.....

What a great hike. I got to the trail head at about 8:ooAm. The sky was overcast all the way up. Once at the top it was freezing cold! Stayed for about 40 min and then headed down. Half way down the sun broke through the clouds it was warm and beautiful.

Met some great people on the way down. I did this hike on my own since my hiking partner got married. You would think the honeymoon would be over after three months!
