51 minutes to the top today. I could have done it in a few minutes less than that though. I stopped a couple times to let people catch up and once to give some water to a guy that I overheard saying that he didn't bring any! A girl got seriously hurt there today. she had sprained or broken her ankle. She had either hurt it on the incline trail or running down the Barr Trail (its popular for trail runners). She was on the Barr Trail near where the incline and Barr Trail meet up; a rescue team had to come get her and carry her down.
There was a bit of snow and ice in patches on some spots but overall the trail was pretty clean. I did it easily with fresh hiking boots and no crampons.

Nice easy trail for my first time snowshoeing! There were 10 of us from the who went with a club sponsored by the university. Good times! We did two of the optional side trails.

It took us 59 mins to the top. we went at a pretty slow pace which was nice because we didnt have to keep stopping like we did the first time. We took the long way down this time by catching up with the Barr trail at the top of the incline. Its safer that way. haha. It's gonna be interesting to attempt this one in the winter.

Good Hike. We kept up a good pace. the water in the reservoir was pretty low, you could see the high water line.

I started kinda late on this one and had to run part of the way up hill to get there so i could get a good picture before the sun went down. met some nice people out there. seems like a good spot to hang out by the creek and chill when its warm. I hung out at the base of the falls where the trail meets up with the waterfall and didn't go up to the top. It started raining when I began the walk down.

A pretty easy trail. Gentle inclines. I did not like the power lines or the houses near the trail though. Although, trails like this should be somewhat expected when hiking on the border of the National Forest. There was a decent amount of wildflowers and some good views of pike's peak (although usually obstructed by power lines)

The altitude made this hike difficult. I live at 1,300 ft above sea level in Tempe and drove up to the top of mount lemmon at 9,100 ft. That will tire you out. The view was nice up at the top and the wilderness of rocks trail had some beautiful scenery. there were a lot of burned and dead trees though on the #5 trail that made parts of it kind of ugly, but eh. overall some nice scenery.

Great Hike! Beautiful scenery. We started on the echo canyon trail and headed down for the first part. I think this was the way to go so that we got the hard stuff out of the way first: the Sarah Demming Trail, which rises in elevation steadily the whole time going in this direction. With that out of the way we were free to take our time at the heart of rocks loop and enjoy the scenery. Despite being earth day weekend and entrance to the monument being free, there were very few people there. The solitude was nice. We did meet a nice older couple from Seattle who ran into a rattlesnake on the heart of rocks loop and managed to get some good pictures of it. There were lots of lizards and great rocks with funny names. My personal favorite was "Duck on a Rock" rock. haha.

Hiked up Telegraph pass and then took the national trail to the TV antennae. Good quick hike. We started at the trailhead at 7 AM and there was plenty of shade on the national trail and even a little shade on the steep part of telegraph pass. We saw a little snake pop out of one of the holes in the ground in the middle of the national trail. It was only about as big around as my pinky finger and he slithered back in as soon as he saw us!

Crossing Christopher Creek at the beginning of the trail was COLD!! Luckily, the water was only about thigh deep and I had my Vibram Fivefingers shoes so I fared slightly better than some of the group! There was a little snow at the top of the canyon where we stopped for lunch. The hike itself was a gentle incline until you get the the actual drew trail, where it becomes much steeper, however its only about a mile or so to the top of the rim and the trail is pretty well maintained and easy to find. I will definitely be doing this hike again in the future!

Great hike!We originally wanted to park a truck at the south end of the bell trail where it meets up with FR214 and shuttle ourselves to the north in my car and hike back to the truck. No luck finding the south end of the trail driving on FR214. I think we didn't go far enough. My Jetta only made it 7 miles in and then we took the truck to the 11 mile mark and we hadnt seen it yet and decided to turn around and just make it a one-way hike from the north trailhead and back. I'd done the first part of the trail before so I knew it would be enjoyable. We didnt make it to the trailhead until after noon so id was going to be a short hike!We hiked up to the crack and back. The water was really chilly so we decided not to go for a swim. I got some great pictures though!

Difficult hike because the terrain is steep and there is loose gravel on top of solid rock at some points. It wasn't too bad on the way up but coming down I felt like I could fall at any moment! We got off the trail at one point on the way down and it was kinda sketchy bushwacking our way down the canyon about 3/4 of the way up the mountain. Great views from the top though, and a good workout.

Lots of flowers o the beginning part of the mesquite trail. Saw a Western Diamondback after we got onto the willow trail when we were got near the bottom of the canyon. Not as much water flow as I expected and curiously, not many mesquites.

Great Hike. I started on the Echo Canyon trail head and met up with some friends who began at the opposite side on the cholla trail (they were having trouble finding parking near the echo canyon trailhead!). We met at the top of the camel's hump and I followed them down the cholla trail. Good sunday hike although there was a lot of people on the trail!
