Went on this loop from Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon. Overall, one of the best trails I have been on since I have started hiking in AZ (since this past feb). Gorgeous mountain views, tons of wildlife, and great camping sites. I saw tons of deer, my first tarantula in the wild, and honestly, some lemur type of thing (which I had no idea they had here). I don't feel as though some parts of the loop I did are good for beginners though. The east side of 139 especially I had to hunt for the trail several times. Saw lots of people (especially hunters...made me a little nervous, also had my dog with me). Again, one fabulous loop!!! Loved it, the forests were majestic. Oh, forgot, the black flies on the 140 and the 139 were horrible!! Not even off helped. It stank.

Started the morning going up Goat Trail with my husky for an overnight camp. Made it to where the spring is the first night. As the map says, the uphill rocky part can be a challenge, but very fun. I saw one of those big freaky centipedes that almost bit my husky, I saw the tail end scurry under a rock, so he wasn't feeling like a photo op. When I came to where the spring was, I found I did not look far enough off the trail(I later found out from one of the ladies that works in the Admin office). But it's there, and it's never dry apparently. Anyways, a very nice loop, great for an overnighter, and nice groomed trails once you make it up the first rocky part. Just make sure to watch for those big dang centipedes. ;)

Went on this hike for memorial day. Loved it. Great hike, very nice trail, red sand in certain parts. Didn't see too much water save for some standing water at the beginning. Views were phenomenal.

Took this trail today until the tree as you ascend. This part was overgrown with bush (very little cacti), and no water. What made this short trip very worth it, was we took a detour and rock climbed to the left at the tree and came up to the peak right next to the four peaks! As you rock climb over this peak, all of a sudden you have the four peaks (only three are visible) right in front of you! Very spectacular. Ran out of time to go to the four peaks (we estimated they were 300-400 yards away). Awesome time seeing amazing views of all parks, four peaks, Phoenix in the distance, Saguaro Lake, and the Superstitions if you're in for some rock climbing!!!

Did this trail yesterday from Reavis to 287 intersection. Great trail! Loved it, even though it was 94 in Phoenix, a very lovely breeze made this very tolerable feeling about 70ish up there on the mountains. Some of my favorite views as well. Still havent found the water sources along, but will have to continue further to find anything. Also, saw the difference what a nice cool breeze can make on water consumption and loss! Still had water remaining by the end of the trail. Overall, one of my favorites so far. Also, campsites are to die for, albeit might be very windy. I'll have to wait and see on that.

Did this yesterday and slept along the 106. Wasn't the greatest scenary that I've seen so far in the Supes, and wasn't able to find water. wildlife was good, saw several scorpions, birds, no snakes (which I'm happy about). Took my sleddog (husky). Prefer the Reavis Trailhead, but I lack the 4x4 to get there (tiny sports car). Also there was a lookout point that was not marked, on the return I took the left trail (instead of the right) and ended up at a decent lookout. Trail 106 has an accurate description.

Did this as a short trip and was truly one gorgeous hike. Would do this one again in a second, but the trail heading to Reavis Trailhead was horrendous, especially if you own a sports car (like I do). The road in though is also breathtaking. Saw all sorts of wildlife, including a Gila Monster, Bearded Dragon, Scorpion, and snake (yet to be identified by me). Breathtaking views, pretty easy, well marked trail. NEED to do this one again, in a flash!!!

Did this today as an all day training hike. There's no question about it, it is astoundingly beautiful. The boulders in Boulder Canyon (very appropriate name) can get tiresome. Dropped my camera on this one, and cracked the screen. That was a big bummer, but it still takes pics. Overall, one of my favorites so far in the near Phoenix vicinity.

Did the hike today as another training hike. Certainly was an amazing beautiful hike today. Took 4 hours although I sped through with time for stops to enjoy the scenary. Starting from the creek side, was a beautiful scene as I progressed through. Took a 32 pound pack for strength building. No problems noted.

Went out mid day as a training hike with half weight for a two or three dayer. It was a relatively easy hike, deserving of the rating that was assigned to it. However, because of the 1.4 inches the park received, the rangers told me that the bridges were washed away and they "closed" the trail (they then told me that they weren't closed, you would just have to wade the rivers). I decided to complete the loop and wade the river. The hike was nice, took my time, had lunch on a nearby mountain and took the creek back to the trailhead. On the way back, I saw a foot, foot-and-a-half turtle on the trail! I didn't have any idea that they were that high up in the hills and mountains. Was a very nice surprise. Had some really gigantic sagueros as well. A very good training hike.

Headed out on this trip as an overnighter with a beginner. As the description implies, a great trail for either an overnighter, training hike, or day hike. Finding the trail through the canyon could be difficult at times, the cairns have to be carefully looked for (and a lot of "boulder-hopping"). Plenty of water was flowing through the canyon. Otherwise and overall, a gorgeous, beautiful hike with amazing views, and great campsites. During the weekend the trails were as the rangers had indicated, busy. The trail was a little difficult for the beginner.

Went on a nice hike with a friend, also as exercise for an upcoming long distance hike. Nice hike, easy to moderate trail, good views of phoenix. Many dogs and people though on a weekday afternoon. Some nicer than others (people too!). Good for the above mentioned.

Did the entire trail today (5.7 miles) via jogging. Beautiful trail, beautiful scenery, did this mid afternoon on a Monday and saw many people on the trail. Signage makes it very easy to see where you need to go. Was 60 degrees and sunny, didn't take water, was fine. This condition I would take one of my huskies, increase in temperature I would not. Great trail to just get out there and enjoy!!
