My wife and I stopped at this campground to do a little hiking in the monument. We loved the campground, area, and hiking so much we stayed for two months. The campground is one on the nicest, very quaint, quiet, and beautiful. Come early in the day March and April to get an open site since it fills up almost everyday. No rigs over 29 feet and that is not and overestimate.

Beautiful hike and worth the time getting to the one mile loop. Will positively repeat this loop. I logged about 7.5 miles from Echo parking lot through Echo Grotto to Lower Rhyolite, to Heart of Rocks, then down to the visitor center. The next time will be via mushroom rock trail, inspiration point, heart of rocks, to visitor center.

Very scenic relatively easy hike. The weather was beautiful, near 60 deg F, and very little wind. Trails are well maintained and met only a few other well mannered hikers including two friendly trail workers. Camping in Bonita Campground, one the most cozy campgrounds my wife and I have been stayed {Note: the host, Bonnie, and other workers are some of the best we have encountered in out travels}.
