Awesome shade early morning and fun trail with lots of birds, large lizards, and other cute critters. I really enjoy the little monument with arrows pointing out landmarks in the valley at Dobbins Lookout!

So fun! Love hearing the sound of water running as you get close to the end. Spent a lot of time in the water, just hanging out by the small waterfall because the larger one wasn't flowing today. Lots of green!

First time technical canyoneering! This place is stunning. Butterflies galore and I got kissed by a dauber. 4 rappels, ranging from 30 ft to 100ft, and 4 rock climbs back out. Definitely did not start at a trailhead. Saw a frog or toad that changed colors- perfectly suited to canyon wall. Japanese beetles and lots of flora. The geological features were incredible and humbling.

I loved the views and am lucky to watch the sunset from the summit today. The desert is a special place. This hike was a perfect last minute jaunt.

Saw some wildflowers! Bizarre Arrowhead Lake houses are in view, super random. I liked this quick jaunt for views and a peak about 20 min from my house. Plus they have funny signs just for your dog to read: D

I really liked enjoyed the giant quartz rock and the peak was fun. I liked how after the peak, everyone else turns around and if you continue to the end of this trail you have it all to yourself. There is lots of connecting trails along here to explore :)

This trail is great! I thought it was the dog friendly version, but about 3/4 of the trail through, you run into the summit portion of trail and a sign warning that dogs are not allowed. I thought that maybe we could find an old circumference trail so I could finish the hike and not go backwards with my dog, but I ended up taking a trail to nearby houses and having to take roads back to park entrance. :(
I saw a ranger and told him what happened and he thanked us for not just taking the dog anyways. So, next time no cubby bear.

Love this place! So many creature tracks! Cute frogs, crawdads, birds and tracks of many different other animals. I wish I would have brought my dog. I was worried because of heat alert in area so he didn't get to come, but the weather was honestly so comfortable. Very moist, lush wash and lots of pools of water. I forgot to look for petroglyphs, so I can't wait to go back, for this. The road to trailhead was fine for 2 wheel drive today :D My son really enjoyed this place and traveling on boulders.

The weather was surprisingly awesome and cooler during pockets of rainy days. Not many at the top and I think we just got super lucky to pick a great day. My friend and I did a shuttle, leaving a car at Echo trailhead and starting hike going up at Cholla and heading down Echo side of Camelback. Such dramatic cliffs to view coming down! Really fun.

Really fun hike! I went with a child and a dog and there was lots of variety in plants and huge boulders to climb up and even in! Very nice views. Other hikes seem far from the city and difficult to find but this one was so conveniently located. I was worried there would be a ton of people but for most part we had the trail all to ourselves. We saw a beautiful bird hovering high and my son loved the insects. Even got a glimpse of, what our research suggests, a nonvenomous snake.
I really had fun. Just the right amount of hike after a long day of exploring the city.

My dog loved this trail. First time hiking in Cave Creek. Easy to find the park and although heat warnings in Phx area, I completed hike around 10 AM and the area was still comfortable. Very quiet out here.

Beautiful flowers and colors all around. Lush vegetation and the view of Weevers Needle was spectacular. I wanted to find Cave Trail but time did not permit us to venture off to much. I may go back earlier tomorrow to try a different hike in the Superstition Mountains. My mom and I had fun.
