Carney Springs / Wave Cave trailhead permanently closing.

This has always been a bit of a questionable parking location due to its status on state trust land.

Pinal County will be closing this down and shifting the parking access for these trails to the Lost Goldmine lot.

I can't wait to see how this goes!

(There are 7 official routes on HAZ that currently begin at this lot).

Peralta Road Parking Change

Beginning March 2- Wave Cave Trail/ Carney Springs Trail parking lot at Carney Springs Road will be permanently closed. Designated parking area is at the Lost Goldmine East Trailhead parking area.

Access to the Wave Cave Trail will be via the Lost Goldmine Parking Lot, which is the Arizona State Land Department parking area for the Lost Goldmine Trail.

Please park only in designated areas.

Fire Department and Sheriff's Dept will have to hike further now.

I feel like emergency responders don’t often get towed when they park somewhere that your vehicle might have a different outcome.

They will note trailhead closed and will park at the new official trailhead.
