UL: Petit Palace is an art museum in the 8th arrondissement. Built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, it now houses the City of Paris Museum of Fine Arts. The total cost of the Petit Palais at the time of the construction was 400,000 pounds ($506,000). It was renovated in 2005 after four years of renovation.

UR: Statue du Général Charles de Gaulle. Located within Place Clemenceau, next to the Champs Élysées, stands this statue of the great french General, depicting him walking down the the famous boulevard, after the liberation of Paris, on the 26th of august 1944.

LL: A prominent sight in the Parisian landscape thanks to its famous gilded Dome, the Hôtel National des Invalides is an exceptional monument. In the 17th century, Louis XIV was the head of Europe's greatest army. Aware that soldiers were the primary guardians of France's greatness, the Sun King decided to erect a building for those who had served the royal army completed in 1674.

LR: The Grand Palais in Paris. First constructed for the 1900 World Fair this was an architectural achievement in its time and utilises a vast amount of stone, glass and steel, and in fact there is more steel used within this building than on the Eiffel Tower!
Now, the Grand Palais is separated into three main areas and one area is purely for the Palais de la Decouverte, which is a science museum that was opened up for the 1937 World Fair.

All of this had beautiful gardens and flora around as well; like those Dahlia bloomers in the middle photo.
