It was fun to hear about the bridge. No, they don't swim in the river. Interestingly, Swimming in the Seine has been prohibited since 1923 due to poor water quality and safety concerns from boats. We are only a few minutes from Jean-Luc's house. There is also a little bistro at this side of the bridge.

The Marne is a river in France, an eastern tributary of the Seine in the area east and southeast of Paris. It is 514 kilometres (319 mi) long.
During the heyday of canal transportation, the Marne was a major artery connecting Paris and the Seine with major rivers to the east.

The Moulin pedestrian footbridge, which connects Chelles to the communes of Champs-sur-Marne and Gournay-sur-Marne.
Spanning the Marne, this footbridge takes its name from its immediate proximity to the ruins of the old Moulin de Chelles.
The footbridge inaugurated in 2002 is not only located next to these ruins but above all on the exact site of a previous footbridge, built during the 1930s.
