Château de Gournay-sur-Marne in Gournay-sur Marne, the town Jean-Luc lives in. It is now City Hall.
Built by Louis Ancelin, son of one of Louis XIV's nannies, on the remains of an old medieval fortress, the Château de Gournay suffered numerous degradations over time, particularly during the war of 1870.
Built under Louis XIV, the castle nevertheless has an architecture with classic lines, elegantly combining brick and freestone. In particular, it reveals a very regular facade with two symmetrical bays flanked by pavilions. On the facade on the Marne side, visitors can also admire a classic pediment and two central bays.
