| no partners | | Planned to do this hike from the south end but the road (FR22) to the trailhead was blocked for revegetation so we followed the north to south route. A nice surprise was that FR627 was paved all the way to the trailhead. The hike from the trailhead added some distance to the hike so my GPS as well as John's read 12.5 miles for the round trip with over 1,600 feet AEG from the car to the junction with Trail #73 and back. The first part of the trail was the nicest in my view. Due to the rain a couple of weeks before this hike, the creeks were flowing. There was very little mud. The views of Mt Ord and some of the other high points were nice. Some still had snow on them. Below are some helpful GPS coordinates:
