Started out at 6:40am. The weather was sunny but not as hot as in Phoenix since I was mostly at the 3500' elevation mark. This trail is faint in some spots after the junction with the Little Saddle Trail until it joins with an old ATV/mining road. Once it reaches Diamond Ranch, it veers to the south towards SR87 and then goes under the highway and after 0.4 miles joins the Boulder Creek Trail #73, the next leg of the Arizona Trail. No big events, just a decent hike in some very sunny and mild (by AZ standards) weather.
