| no partners | | The quest continues. I can't stay away from the Galiuros for long, and most normal access is from points other than the western side of the range. Most gates are locked up here and landowners must grant passage via direct contact mainly for hunters. I took Brian, the expert route finder, and althougn I parked as before he located a quick route down in without a ton of cactus and we rock hopped up the flowing canyon to a narrows we bypassed, then by several dams, then out to cross country and intersect with a jeep trail to an old mine area, to a "museum" of sorts still intact in a mine tunnel. We saw a spectacular red canyon, intriquing views on up Kielberg. What can I say gotta come back. The off trail is slow here and if not for the storm I would have stayed and pushed it. |
