| no partners | | Christmas weekend in one of my favorite spots made all the more special by introducing Brian to this great desert.
Mud Caves, slots, canyons, old Indian trails, Palm Oasis' and the scramble up some peaks--Sombrero and Mine Peak, southern coyote mtns. It was all great pleasure and some mix of old and new for me.
Some hilights--
Birds and frogs and that tropical feel at the Palms after hiking through stoney dry silence--
Hide n seek in the mud cave area---in one hole, out another, into another, then trying to fit the puzzle pieces together to get back to the car overland--
Great light in some of the slots.
Menacing clouds and light on the trek up Sombrero and seeing the Goat Canyon trestle at a distance---- |
