Hiked to Wasson Peak using Sendero Esperanza to Hugh Norris Trail. Golden Gate Rd. was pretty rough coming in from Picture Rocks from all the rains we've gotten this spring. I will be sad when the park closes this road to vehicles. Sendero Esperanza's wildflowers were great on the switchbacks up to the ridge, but the Hugh Norris Trail is completely carpeted for much of the way to the peak 
I had a wonderful hike and experienced wildflower-induced giddiness that lasted all day!
