Decided to do the loop clockwise. Made great time to the peak, then slowed it down a bit for the return. Just as I reached the peak there was one lone loud rumble of thunder over the city. Neat! Sort of surprised me because I didn't think the clouds had it in them. Only a few sprinkles on me during the hike, but found a whole .01 inch rain in the gauge when I got home (I know, underwhelming 
). Hopefully we'll get some more rain tonight, as the desert is always thirsty.
