One of my favorites. When I saw that some of the meetup folks I camped with a couple weeks ago in Organ Pipe were heading to Wasson, I thought about joining them. By the time I made up my mind, it was full with a waiting list, so I just decided to head up on my own from a different trailhead and surprise them on top. Only thing was, I arrived there about an hour before they did. Not a problem, as I got to enjoy a long stay on the peak, which is something I rarely do.

I felt fine to the peak and down to Sweetwater Saddle, where we parted ways. But after that the leg/knee pain returned with a vengeance to really slow me down, and I had to pop the Ibuprofin and make a couple of stops to let things settle down. Kneeling down for flower photos wasn't helping the cause either! :lol:

The wildflowers were prevalent, but nothing like the bonanza show up in Central Arizona right now.
