At the trail head we got our packs water ready, mine needed a good cleaning after 4 peaks! =) Everybody else was just finishing the hike out as we started. We trail ran down the easy jeep trail to the beginning of the water. The Jug was okay, the levels were pretty low but still had some swims in the first part. We just went regular pace and made our way to the final rappel in very good time, we used a rope that was just barely long enough to reach. I confess, I came down and then gave the camera to Curtis, then jugged up the rope for a few "rappelling pics." The final swims were still cold, but nice considering the outside temps. The hike out as dusk was fantastically beautiful, with the setting sun! Then we headed to Oak flats to camp for our day #2 adventure(Devils)... See Janelle; you can still have your adventure weekend even if you have to work on Saturday. |
