I have to say I am so thankful to Joe for first taking me to this area. The first time it was covered in snow and our ML had to be rescheduled. When we accomplished it; I was exhausted, it defeated me physically, mentally and emotionally. I had torn the seat of my pants out, had cactus all over my knee and my arms were dead from over-gripping the rock. That is how I caught the ML fever! I am so thankful to Joe for sharing it with me. I love the feeling of spreading the ML infection to others. It is a wilderness puzzle that begs to be solved.
This time I was considering a solo trip, not because I am crazy but because the only way to work on the puzzle is to do it. I do have it dialed in, every false peak, every gully except for the ascent of peak two from it's saddle. ("the camping spot") To the top of peak 2. I joked to Joel that this was a photo workshop for him to experience and learn the joys of photo/trip documentation. At first I had to force him to take a picture with my little pink pack camera towards the end he was starting to enjoy it. They may not be displayed in Gammage, but something tells me these photos are important to him as well.
The specific and details were captured quite well by Joel's triplog |
