spent 8 days at Big Lake, Escudilla, the Rim, and then headed to Heliograph Peak. Camped at Shannon CG oct 3rd and hiked to the top of Heliograph Peak with my brother. Got to the top and rain storms where seen coming toward us, but never reached the peak. But got a great shot of a rainbow, actually there where 3 of them beside each other. One main one, the second less bright, and the 3rd could only be seen with polarized sunglasses. met a guy up there who was very nice, and one the way down met another nice guy GPSing the trail for this page.
