| no partners | | I hiked the Rim with my little niece and my nephew and two sisters for 3 days. Each day was very sunny, but the nights dropped in the high 20's at night believe it or not. I stayed at Mather's campground and bus shuttle where I left off the day before. I was happy my little niece hiked the Rim without any complaining. Some reason i was expecting a grand view of the canyon at the end at the store, but to my surprise I was highly disappointed, but they had a cold coke, and a cool fireplace. The last part of the trail was very cool if you didnt walk the sidewalk, but found the trail, that was literally on the rim. DONT SLIP!!! LOL I really liked the west side of the rim trail from the main store area. Seen lots of Elk each morning around the Mather's campground near the gocery store, but you had to be up before 7 am to see them. I love the Grand canyon, but everytime I go there, the people is way to much for me. I need to start doing the north side of the canyon to get away from the 100 buses of chinese people. Nothing against them, but wow when you come here to get all spiritual, it takes a lot of focus with 1000's of people around you asking questions like where is the bathroom, or the hotdog stand? |
