| no partners | | | Up camping on Mt. Graham for a couple days, got up to Riggs Flat Lake and stopped to investigate. Did a slow meander on one side of the lake from the boat launch area to the dam, twice. Once to look around and another when I decided to go back and get my rod and try a few cast! A wonderful October day with nice temps. Everyone else was wearing sweatshirts, but I was mostly fine in a tank top. Tons of minnows in the water and you could see some smaller trout too. I ended up catching two rainbow trout on a kastmaster from shore, once from the dam and once just further south of there. A kingfisher flew back and forth making sure we all knew it was HIS territory! Nice lake, nice flat easy walk. I would have gone all the way around but my feet were hurting and I really wanted to spend some time fishing and caching...so much to do, so little time! |
