It was a nice Halloween morning hike from Turkey Flat to Ladybug Peak and return. This stretch of trail (and quite likely the entire Ladybug Trail) was re-worked last week by the Coconino Rural Environment Corps. They did a really nice job cutting fallen trees and improving the trail surface. Thanks CREC! I never realized how many maple trees there were on this hike until today. They were all blazing from yellow to jack-o-lantern orange. Even the gambel oaks were a deep yellow. 21,273 AEG this month.
