HOW TO TURN A 4 MILE HIKE WITH YOUR MOM INTO NEARLY 12 MILES....My mom and I had no intention of hiking this far today. But get her and I together and you never know what's going to happen..lol. So, our "plan" was to hike Dutchman's Trail from Peralta TH to Whiskey Spring and back or Dutchman to Coffee Flat and back. Well, we chose the Coffee Flat route and the scenery kept luring us further and further. Each cross trail we came to we would say, "just a little further". Finally, when we reached Coffee Flat Creek we decided to round out our trip and continue to Dearhorn Spring and on back to Coffee Flat Trail. I would rate the overall difficulty as easy and the length a little tougher. There is a lot to see along the way such as the changes from saguaros to chain cholla to ocotillos to decidous Cotton Woods. I highly recommend this trip. And that's my :M2C:
