I have a pass for the Bulldog OHV area so instead of starting at Blue Point we drove in and winded around up and down hill until we came to a downhill I knew my CR-V wouldn't make it back up, which seemed as good a place as any to start our hike.

We cut across over hill and dale until catching the trail up Gateway Canyon. Weather wasn't too hot but with the steepness and the rough terrain it didn't take long to work up a good sweat.

Unfortunately, now that I look at my photos from the hike, I realized I didn't post any photos [see link below] of the arch mentioned in the default triplog. Not that I didn't take any photos of it but my hiking buddies were in them and they all but obstructed the view of the arch. I guess you'll have to see the photos I took of it back in January '09. [See second link below]
