I found it hard to believe that my truck was the only one parked at the TH all Day. The weather was picture perfect.
I saw a few deer a mile or so out which was nice. On my way to the to peak, I passed 2 pair of hikers starting from the top, going down and a hunter on a Quad.
On the way down it was a bit muddy at the top after it started to warm up. The traffic was a bit heavier passing a handful of trucks/Quads. Once I made the split to the old rutty 4 x 4 road, I knew I'd have the road to myself. I was surprised a mile from the TH when an Toyota FJ came down behind me. Anyone that's been on that 4 x 4 road, knows that it's not even meant for 4 x 4 anymore. Nothing bigger than a Quad is safe. This guy made it all the way down, but his buddy in his FJ ran off the road a ways back. They were trying to figure out how to get it out, talking about Tow Trucks, as I left the TH. |
