Had intended to do something new and longer but a late departure necessitated some flexibility. Near the Second Water trail and Black Mesa intersection, I ran into a young man heading the same direction. Learned this was his first venture into the Supes and when I found he was looking to travel the same course, we hiked on together. We ran into Rae-Rae and her ABC companions near the Boulder and Calvary intersection. They were apparently on day two of a thru hike. Completed our loop in good time and enjoyed the conversation with J.J. He was clearly enthusiastic about his first Supes experience and vowed to return soon. Also had a chance to break in my new shoes and was very pleased with them.
