My Buddy Will and I took advantage of this beautiful day and did one of my Favorite Hikes in the Phoenix area. Somehow the Flatiron always delivers in so many ways. We also did the short distance up to the summit behind it as I always do. It was as clear as ever and you could just see for miles. They put three new benches "in memory of" on the way up which just look horrible in my humble opinion. No disrespect to the the folks that they are dedicated to. They just used the wrong type up benches. They are aluminum and look like bus stops. So out of place. Very dissapointed in that. Otherwise a great day!
