| partners | | Nick summed up this hike very well, so I won't elaborate much. Considering the early storms and cloud buildup once we hit the summit ridge, I was surprised and thankful that we were actually able to safely summit the Wasatch King. Being on such a high and isolated peak with clouds quickly building and flying overhead is an exciting experience. This was probably the toughest hike I have been on to date and it was absolutely worth it. The views and the scenery were mind blowing, something I will never forget. Add to that millions of maples in full fall color and it was downright ridiculous. Wow!!! Our time on the summit ridge was about the coldest I have ever been while hiking, both Nick and I were in full cold weather gear and thankful we had brought it. After our awesome hike we were immersed in some of Utah's finest scenery on the drive back to Provo along the Nebo Scenic Byway. I don't think we could have had a more perfect day.  |
