With Mount Union set in my mind, I sped through Walker into the Bradshaws after work. I left Potato Patch at 6:30 pm and moved quickly through the lush forest, made downright chilly from the previous day's cold front and rain. I reached the summit at sunset, and watched the light fade on the surrounding mountains from the fire tower. I made the return hike by headlamp, then drove back to Prescott via Hassayampa Lake and the Senator Highway. A great hike in a very pretty spot was a wonderful way to end the day.
