the mountain was open to four wheel drive vehicles on saturday morning, so i decided to head up for some cross country skiing! the snow was perfect, and it didn't look like anyone else had gone that way yet. later in the afternoon, the snow started coming down again, so we high-tailed it back down the mountain. so beautiful! btw: i noted on the way down that the catalina highway was closed again - we got out just in time.
