We(two of us) hiked this at about 2pm all the way to the pools. We hung out around the pools for about a half hour as well as stopped a few times along the way to take in the scenery. It was sunny and 70 degrees. Perfect as one side of the hike is shaded so as you get hot on the way up you can cool down as you descend into the pools. The two of us only went through about a liter of water round trip. We also brought some snacks that we ate at the top. The pool rocks are a bit slippery and require a little bit of rock maneuvering to get to the cool spots so wear good shoes. The hike itself is not too bad but definitely a good workout as it goes up and down and there are A LOT of steps and rocks to climb up and down. Wear good shoes and bring plenty of water. It's about a 3 hour hike or so plus or minus depending on if you stop or not. The pools are beautiful and there are a few waterfalls. I had a cheap little pedometer on. Roundtrip I did about 14,000 steps.
