| no partners | | Was in the area, wanted to do something light and quick, (ya, right!) Forgot to forget the camera... On the way out from Cave Creek, noticed the Hot Air Balloons were out and about and saw a couple of Coyotes, one must have gotten a leg or foot injury, he was only using 3 legs....
Took the West Fork of Spur Cross to Metate, then veered off Metate and did Towhee. Finished Metate and then backtracked all the way on Metate to Spur Cross.
Love the Saguaros on this Trail. They are magnificent and have to be ancient. The Wildflowers never really exploded here and what there was, was past peak and kinda pathetic looking for the most part. The Ranger said that the area did not receive any rain this past week...
Like the other Hike I did today in the same area, I had momentary bouts of blindness where the Trail would suddenly disappear and I would be off course. I always managed to find the Trail again though....
As always, I'm bombing you all with Photos....
I am really liking this whole Spur Cross area.... |
