Alot of the trail is along dirt roads and through cattle grazing country. Saw alot of cattle, the bulls are scary! Also quite a few hunters out on the weekend looking for javelina, guess they killed them all. There is water at two cattle tanks along the way but I cached at freeman rd. Nights were very cold (20's) but was nice to hear the coyotes ! The trail is very well
marked and makes for a beautiful winter hike if you dont mind the dirt
roads (which are usually empty) |
