| partners | | After AB Young we lunched at a magnificent Sedona overlook. I pointed out all I could. Took a reference point and sure enough we were right over Dry Creek. I knew Vultee was down in the abyss but wasn't exactly sure which ripple in the landscape to concentrate on. While the overlook was the highlight the forest was incredible too. Nicely spaced pines provided an excellent canopy filled with ferns. The duff was light.
Onward to spur of the moment option two. We decided to travel down upper West Fork until we had enough. Pressed on three times. Each time with a declining group "okay". While we were just getting into the cool I didn't want anyone to get in trouble with their wifes!
"Easy" in the name is pure opinion. Some may find this tedious, others may find it boring. It was a stroll for myself and just enjoyable. It's similar to Pumphouse or Agua Fria yet loaded with vegetation.
While our day was turned upside down, by muddy roads, AB Young and Upper West Fork were nice too. It was good to see Denny again before his next round of kids. |
