| partners | | Headed in and met the 2012 Summer HAZFest gang! Finally got to meet Trish after NINE years. Oregon Hiker and Corey were new faces! Corey decided to join in on our loop hike.
We headed out on the #91. It's not much of a trail from Buck Springs Cabin. After a while it gets more recognizable. The loop hike was nice. Three areas were outstanding. The rest I classify as enjoyable. Barbershop Canyon looks like a nice one to travel through someday.
Later met Laura in passing on her solo loop. Great conversation with Corey throughout. Midway learned this loop was a big step up in mileage from his previous hikes. He knew what he wanted to accomplish, he was determined and made it happen.
I didn't fair so well on the healthy meter today. jj brought me an almond snickers and Angela was passing out huckleberry taffy which was mighty tasty!
Alex showed up with the family just as we were parting. We said our goodbyes to the chipper group. It was great to meet everyone! Figured I should probably leave some sort of lasting impression so I did a short fashion model of the hunter green Creating HAZ sportswear. A fun day and a nice way to get out of the valley heat! |
