| no partners | | parked at Tatum TH. Found a couple of geocaches stayed on 100 for about a mile and a half then decided to take smaller trails because it was a little crowded for wildlife watching. Headed south just a little past the 40th st. trail to look for another cache. Didn't find it. The person who hid it must not have been a desert rat because the coords put me right in the middle of a fairly large dry wash. Bet it was washed away in the monsoon. After the no find I turned East for a bit of of trail back to 40th st trail. a real climb. managed to reach the trail just before the hairpin switchback. Topped out at 1700 ft started at 1400 ft. Headed back down 40th st trail to 100 and turned right for the home stretch. Good hike, I hope I don't pay the price at work tomorrow. |
