| no partners | | | For this mornings hike I decided to hit the CMC trail east of Cave Creek Rd. A section that I had not been on in a long time. I only went about 2 miles and returned the same way. It was a beautiful morning though I soon wished I had started earlier than 9:30am. Particularly with the nice long ascent that you start off with. Lots of little purple flowers scattered about. The octotillos have not bloomed yet except for one and they were very pale in color. I look forward to getting in shape to do the whole section. After that first ascent there is very little elevation change and you are afforded some nice views of the McDowells along the way. |

| no partners | | | These are a few pics from my hike this morning on the CMC from 7th St to Mountain View Park and back. The morning was beautiful, the brittlebrush still a vibrant yellow. I also got what I set out for, some cactus blooms. The above triplog goes with pics from 3/22/13. I accidently synced it with this mornings pics and cannot seem to undo it. |
