| no partners | | This is a great hike ... not for the trail itself but the isolation.
This is the busy time of the year for this hike and we still saw MORE deer than people. We camped just above the apple orchard on the creek.
We found water at the spring just off the ranch house site.
If we had been a week earlier we would have had MORE apples. The orchard was ripe for the picking and the bear have been all over the area eating and getting rid of apples.
We took the dog. He is a 90 pound shepherd ... he made it just fine. He was tired and his pads were a little sore. |
