| | | Was a fun weekend spent at Reavis. We had an unbelievable turnout! Lot's of people came and went the entire weekend. Besides that we enjoyed rain, wind, snow and cold weather. All in all it was fine though. The highlight was our neighbors to the south. They had another large group and they were spending "Thanksgiving in the Superstitions". They brought a ton of food and invited our entire group over to enjoy the food and it was delicious! They also had a pet goat named Winston. I guess Winston hauled all of their booze to the ranch and then grazed all weekend. Those guys are geniuses
A small group of us made a quick trip up to Circlestone on Saturday. This was my second trip to the ruins. We returned to camp and it was night before long. A variety of folks took turns building up the fire and it snowed a little. The snow was much better compared to the rain on Friday night. I got a little cold in the middle of the night but was able to sleep. I'll need to revisit my sleep system for these really cold nights.
We woke Sunday and broke camp and made the return to the trailhead and then back to city. Our day ended at Boulders enjoying some good food and drinks! Was a really fun weekend and I hope this becomes an annual event! |
