| no partners | | It was the perfect day for an excellent hike in the Supes! I started early at roughly 7:30am. I hit the Dutchman Trail and got into a groove. The first couples of miles were a bit chili and that quickly changed the moment the sun finally came out. I took off my jacket and continued. I got down into Boulder Canyon and picked up the Bull Pass trail. My pace slowed as I started gaining elevation. This is another area I've never been to. God I love the Supes! Anyways, I continue up and reached the saddle. I took a moment to locate the spur trail and was on my way.
I slowly worked my way to the summit and enjoyed the views! I located the Sun Glyph and then found "The End" painted on a rock. For some reason I always thought the marking was higher up. It's right on the ground and easy to miss. After a short rest I turned around and headed down. I wanted to head over to Marsh Valley but I had some time limitations so I headed back on the Black Mesa Trail. The return was uneventful and I was home by early afternoon. Another great day on the trails! |
