| partners | | Another beautiful day in the Supes. Started at the Lost Goldmine TH and soon after saw a cardinal. Go Cards! Hiked up Carney above the first saddle then went off trail east up on Dacite Mesa to Peak 3818. Awesome views from there. Met up with Van and Pam just past West Boulder Saddle on their way to Robbers Roost, so I tagged along with them. Cool to see running water in the Roost as well as all the washes during the day. Took off on my own again over to Fremont Saddle then down the Cave Trail. Really wanted to get back to see Barks Canyon again with flowing water so I took the Bluff Springs Trail to Barks. Barks delivered big time with great views and flowing water, but not too deep to make the traverse difficult. Headed back on the Dutchman and met Van, Pam, Mike, and Liz in the parking lot. Nice to meet you all. Got a ride from Pam back to my vehicle. Thanks Pam. Fun day!  |
